"Shall, should, should have, should have been... why all these things yaar", SMT seemed so confused one day.
"’Should is enough, right?" he added.
"I'll kill the person who introduced all these nasty grammar". he couldn't control his rage.
Yeah, this was a common problem for both of us. So, I decided to start bloging. But the hidden agenda was to improve the grasp over the Queen's language (what that King was doing then ?!!!). Occasionally I have sent my entries to Bijoy for editing. I just wanted to avoid huge blunders. So he was the first person who used to read my post. I think he has never visited the URL http://www.yasj.blogspot.com. Hence, there were no comments on this blog from him. Recently he has shifted his biological clock to 12 hours back from IST. Yeah, He is in US now.
I asked him to enquire his manager about all the possible chances for me.
But he never did.
I offered him to cook all the day.
It seemed he was not impressed with my offer. I even offered him punctual delivery of bed coffee.
No change.
He hit me on my face.
I didn't reply. In fact, I told him to hit more if he wishes.
I told him I'll make oil-less Chicken65.
rakshayila !!!
Finally, he left for US without me :-(
(P.S: if you could find this conversation similar to that of the movie, "Akkare akkare akkare", it is NOT a mere coincidence, I did it purposefully ;-)
I continued to write like
"Today onwards,...no Malayalam...only English"
"Achu, I make chappathi...you make vegitable curry..."
"nothing (difficult)... take vendakka(ladies finger)..."
"cut.. cut ... cut small pieces"
"take onion ..cut ..cut ..cut .. small pieces"
"take cheena chatti (cooking pan)...put it in the Aduppu(gas stove)..."
"put some coconut oil .... put some kaduku manies.."
"..little curry veppila...(then) kadukuvara kadukuvara ...kadukuvara...
"take vegitables ... put it in"
"put little chilli powder... little malli (Coriander) powder... little curry masala powder.."
"little uppu (salt)...close it...curry ready.. go"
I couldn't find any difference between Urvasi in "Achuvinte Amma" and myself.
At that time Anoop has offered his kind helping hands.
He wanted to make this blog technically perfect. So he doesn't like a single mistake in each post. After he has started editing, he has also vanished from my blog.He took tremendous pain to make it a ongoing success. I almost fainted down when I saw his edited document (with track changes) for the first time. If it were my corrected answer sheet, indian Railways could have used it for stopping a Train !!!!!
If you could see the last few entries as beautiful like a Technical document, it is all his effort. He deserves a BIG CLAP.
Footnote: The above said characters, along with me, share a 1500 Sq. Ft. living space in an old, dingy apartment in Vadapalani, Chennai (They call it Tinsel Capital of South India).

Surpassing my expectations, Samson did it again, that too for a second time. He tasted the mud; in fact the taste of road tar. Oh… I forgot to tell you Samson is my bike, Bajaj - Avenger !!!
First time it was on the the way to Bangalore; he might not be interested to carry a CruxR obsessed owner :-( He was at laughing at George, "Don't you know how to use a Disc Brake!! Too bad". Anyway, he did a great support by his crash guard to prevent any bone injury to his master, err… owner. George was very sad to see his Samson's crash guard bent and was happy to realize that no other parts were got hurt for both of them.
This time, it happened to George's friend (The friend is not interested to reveal his name as he doesn't want his parents to know about the accident ;-) One junk guy riding a goods-auto-carrier hit on Samson's left wing, that too twice!!! Was that intentional ? It seems. Samson screamed down; his left Crash guard smashed on the Koyambedu signal junction. The rider managed with minor injuries. Only a few scratches on his left side and It was difficult for him to walk for a couple of days. But the the case was a bit serious for the person sitting behind him and had a sprain on his back, was hospitalized immediately and x-ray showed no bone injury; By luck.
Samson; My Friend
I am trying to discover his likes and dislikes. Samson hates ‘thumbies’, the two-wheeler which almost ruled the Chennai roads. Thumbies are nothing but TVS Super; Mopeds. He growls while these little creatures fly around, He is silent while driving through a clean road, he always wants to enjoy the speed of 50, on the traffic signal, he likes to growl most likely if he is in the front row. 3 seconds are enough for him to reach a speed of 60KMPH. He likes to chase its counterpart, Pulsar 180/150, he likes to ride along with the same species, especially the company of Red one.
On touching the water he will start shivering. So George had never allowed him much to shiver ;-) While surfing on his petrol tank he nodes his head gently. He is George's companion to the football ground, he stands calmly watching the game. Sometimes he blocks a few powerful shots with his firm backside.
Like the petrol pump employee, Samson hates to fill his belly with petrol for a meager 30 Rs. He always wants to fill his tank full. But George doesn't like it and so he keeps the tank always on 'reserve'. Recently Samson complained about the naughty kids who play, around and even stand on his seat cover. So George wants to keep him at the Company parking slot.
Naughty Samson now waiting for a dusky damsel to roam round ;-)
---footnote---
I wished several times that I could have written at least 5 sentences about MY COW during my school days.
Sometimes I think...women deserve more respect. Why people ogle at them? Even I am not an exception :-(
She takes pain to give birth for a new life, she adjusts a lot to build a home, she absorbs everything especially others pain, She has that magic touch which heals all your pains.
I remember one Bob Marley's song, "No women No cry". Was he very sad to see a woman crying or did he mean that if there were no women in this world, we needn't cry? Just kidding…his lyrics is striking out the later. Yeah, no one wants to see a tear is running down her cheeks. Why is she crying?
Mahatma Gandhi once said that he would call India an independent country only when a woman can walk on the roads at midnight without fear. At that time he could only dream about it. Why not today ?
Frankly, I won’t blame men in all cases.
Respect should come from our inner self. I won’t respect a womon who clearly shows her anatomy. Why do they wear such revealing clothes?
Don't they have any value for what they have?
Or Do they think it as freedom? Luckily Gandhiji is no more;
I would like to share my new hobby. Whenever I see such a woman (Girls are much better I would say), I will start watching the surrounding people. Last weekend I went to Landmark and I saw a slut. I couldn’t get a better word to describe that junk woman. She wore her pants in such a way that, if she lower it an inch down, the purpose of dress will be meaningless !!! So I thought that this is the best time for my hobby. I saw a few boys around her. they were looking at her like"evidunnu varunnadai ee charakku" ( from where she is imported?)
Not at all a surprise for me. I kept on scanning more people and my eyes stuck with a lady, I guess she was a Mallu and her expression was so strange.
"savam" (dead body). I can see her anger at the corner of her eyes.
So my point to make for ladies is ....
If you are not in the flesh trade, I mean ..if you are not a pro, wear decent clothes
It attracts respect!!
Penmakkale sleevelessum microminiyum dharikkan padippikkunna ammamare mukkaliyil kettiyittu adikkanam.
(Those mothers who train their daughters to wear sleeveless dresses and micro minis should be punished in the public.)
Shall I change the title to "Allow me to respect women"?
When I got a fairly good rank in Kerala Entrance, my Father was sure about getting an admission in GEC, Thrissur. He was not at all bothered about the stream . But only thing he insisted was about the College ie., GEC, Thrissur. I was sure about getting a seat in Electrical branch. All my cousins were in that stream in same College( 'admitted' to CSE a couple of days before the first class). He didn't allow me to opt any other College and hence I missed a Hostel life.
You could see a Businessman's eye to cut down the hostel expenses and a usual parent's mind to get a full control over a teenager, his Kadinjool (first born) and a loving father's heart to spend more time with his son.
So I became a day-scholar. Did I Miss anything?
Yes, I lost
A wide opportunity to see the outer world.
A chance to live with a crowd to know the meaning of Adjustment and sharing.
A good chance to know others feelings and pulse.
A fair chance to know the self-money-management.
I lost a chance to run a BIG Mess, the pleasure of bargaining for the massive amount of groceries for the mess and save money (pacha malayalathil moshanam) to face the discrepancies in the final account settling.
I lost a chance to fully involved in drama rehearsals, dance practices etc. I am still sad about not being able to act in Dhanush' Skit in 6th semester on the theme of Malayalam Movie- Niram. All characters in this skit were my old classmates with minor changes in their names to make it funny, vangana rames aka Anjana, pikkas (Mallu tone for pickaxe) aka Vikas , vaneesh aka Suneesh are just a few example . He was succeeded in stitching most of the events happened very often in the college. I strongly suspected that the hostellers purposefully avoided us (day-scholars).
But I was happy to say that they were kind enough to make me main dancer in the cultural program. Couldn't they find a shorter guy than me?
I lost a chance to go out in the middle of the night and eat Mutta-Porotta, Dosa or whatever available that time from a thattukada
I lost a chance to lay down on the College Cricket Ground in night and watch the stars.
I lost a chance to visit tharavaadu at least once. (my father has 36 eyes in the town)
I lost a chance to become a Raja Ravi Varma by putting my hands in drawing on the walls.
I lost a chance to be nostalgic by visiting my hostel room after 5 or 10 or 20 years.
Anyhow we decided to live in the College Hostel for a week. Mel, Vikas, Bijoy- do you remember?
"Father, I want to complete my final year project."
"Good..at least you started thinking about the project in the last month"
"That is the Engg. College Style, you may not know"
"eda I also passed through your age..."
"...Ok what do you want from me to complete your project"
"I just want your permission to stay in the hostel for a week; so that we can work together to finish the project..."
"...Mel, vikas and Bijoy .. all are staying with me"
" Is Bijoy also coming..."
"...then you may go"
Bijoy was a star in my home. What an innocent fellow!!!
"you must watch and follow Bijoy...", Mom reminds me once in a month.
"...I afraid that he might ruin himselfif you walk along with him" she added.
"Of course, I'll try to", I promissed. (happy to announce that I kept my words ;-)
May be April 21st is one of the unforgettable day in the hostel, Chit-chat till mid-night !!!
We shared our old crushes, just crushes !! Hours flew like a second.
It was 4AM when we decided to stop and sleep. We were supposed to touch our final yearproject at least on the last day :-(
Other highlighted thing was eating Mutta-kolli from thattukada at Mid-night.
But I am so glad to realize that
I still keep a good relationship wuth my local friends; Still, whenever I go home, I meet a couple of friends every time; they are still keeping the local Thrissur accent and I am loosing my trademark tone :-( even it become tougher for me to understand the current Thrissur slangs !!!
"ippo evide kidanna thiriyanne ?" my local football team-player asked once.
I took a few seconds to realize that he is asking where I am working now !!!
I am blessed to enjoy ammachi's exotic dishes for all of my life except these 2 years. Sometimes it is horrible even to hear about the junk hostel food.
Needn't worry about food; everything is ready on time; I can show my anger for a minor mistake in meals or curries;"enthoram uppa ithu!!! oru kottakkundalo"( a lot of salt !!!)
Mom always complains to father "athai ee chekkane kondu hostelil nirthu ; ennale ivan padikku". (send him to Hostel to teach a lesson)
Needn't wash my clothes !!! what a Lucky I was !!!
Needn't worry about Money, "appacha oru 20 roopa"; ha ha.
"appacha oru 250 roopa; oru textbook vangikkana"; that was my main resource to eat out ;-)
Occasionally he is ready to give money for that; but no thrill in it ;-)
Day-scholar-ship allowed me to work in CLC and was a librarian for 5 years. Could see a lot of people throughout. Activities like arranging tournaments, book fairs, competitions, fights duing meetings ..I will never get such things in a Hostel.

Some factors motivate your Life. Maradona might be one of them. Watch his talent
The face snap itself shows his gigantic talent. Maradona remains cool penetrating 6 defenders. The last goal in this clip was scored in 1986 World cup Quarter Final (second goal Vs Eng) still considered as the best ever goal in the Century!!!
First Goal in that Quarter Final was also notorious as ‘Hand of God’.
Somebody had sent this link to Football alias and the results were awe-inspiring.
This clip attracts new players too. I don't know how long it will continue.
Hopefully it will continue at least for the next two months (World cup effect).
The guys started scoring a tones of goal; previously it was like 0-1; 2-1; maximum 3-3
nowadays it is 5-3; 6-6 and even the scoreboard goes up to 5-8!!! that itself just in the first 30 minutes of the match.
I think we should watch the defenders techniques to cut this down :-)
Want to watch other players in the world? They are also not bad. Click
I have a question in my mind. Who will win this time?
I vote for Argentina, this name stuck in my heart after Maradona.
And I hate Brazil and their yellow dress :-(
"Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends"
Now people are trying to crucify him again in the name of "Da Vinci Code".The people who are reluctant to believe in Bible has no doubt about this 'code'. The people who deny to have faith in Virgin Mary, has no worry to believe that Mary Megdelena was the wife of Jesus.
Which is the best to follow ; the book written by the people who lived in the time of Jesus or by the people who were born after 2000years. Neither I read the 'decoded' book nor I saw the movie, hence no further idea about it.
"Father, did Mother of Jesus attended Last supper with Jesus ?"
"Didn't you completed The Bible yet ?" he surprised
"Yes I did", Little George nodded.
"Then why this doubt at a!!"
"no nothing ..the one who lay down on the shoulder of Jesus looks like a Girl", George pointed out the lady in the picture.
"he has long hairs, no mustache ...rest of the body is not clear", George explained
Luckily his father didn't ask what he was looking at rest of the body ;-)
Father said, "See Jesus Had long hairs, Peter had , and everybody at that time had long hairs."
"But all others have mustache, this one doesn't have", George argued.
"he should be John, he is the only unmarried disciple of Jesus and so he must be too young..."
"... look your cousin Binesh... on a clean shave, even at 22, he has a pennish face(looks like a girl)"
he explained with an example.
"How dare he to lay down on Jesus' shoulder !!!", George surprised.
"Jesus loved him so much". Father seems so happy to explain that John (his name) is the most recognized by Jesus.
"that is partiality ..why Jesus loved him so much more than others", confused George.
"hey... Jesus said to love one another; doesn't meant that not no love more this one or that one.."
"... He loved John, Peter, Thomas...me ... you and all ..."
"He was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; by His wounds we are healed."
"He faced all these sufferings to pay back our sins". His father explained the core of Bible to George.

He must be kidding. My father is planning to search a girl for me.
If it was last year, I would have been happiest. At that time I had no mind storming work. Nothing to worry about. just go to work, come back, sleep, movies, get together, football... just cool life. I was bored. no challenging thing in life. So I "begged" to the same person to arrange a marriage for me. I was interested to take some responsibility in my life. but he just neglected without a word as if I am a kid.
Now I have some penultimate year planning. More interested in long drives. Want to concentrate more on work. Want to restore my flat tummy back. want to roam around some places with friends.
Wife; meaning of wife is responsibility ( Mohanlal in Dasaradham)
Marriage means a total surrender, Am I right?
"I am going to a party"
"with out me ?!!!"
"ponne it is a drinks party"
"ohho vellamadiyanalle..."
"...must return before 8.30. Am alone here"
"it is 8 now, I will not get time even to sip a peg".
"thats more than enough; Look..What I have told I have told"
...Is she a daughter of Pilate to say like "What I have written I have written" ?
This is why I am telling..Marriage is a complete surrender.
I didn't own any bike in Chennai one year back, Now I have. I want to roam around more.
So I said to Mother
"Look Mom, I don't want to get surrender this year."
"So what will you do to get a movie ticket ?"
"I have a sister for it"
"Ok, you were complaining that you are not getting good food there, don't you want a wife?"
"Mom, nowadays I don't have any expectation on these girls; probably I can cook better than them...".
"...Also last year you were told that you are coming to stay with me... the doors are still open".
"Son...then who will look after your father!!!"
"enthenkilum chaiyyu... Am going back"
"wait one more question..."
"...What should I to do with your the half-folded mat?"
;-))
Part I :Touching 5 year after we split
Part II : Once WE lived there
Part III : Changes
After Ranjit and Apupama joined we decided to move to Wimbis as we are not expecting anybody more.
ohh a new (motor)cycle-stand built nearby hockey ground. changes !!!
The Hockey ground is still clean. Usually they don't allow people to play cricket on this ground. it is tough to play hockey in a ground with even a small pit. My memories about hockey ground are always bound to the way we were running to catch the local bus. while we were in the pavilion side, A bus to town appears on other side. then ? we have to run to catch it. but we are in confusion whether to run in front of people in the ground (usually it was occupied by students from other college too; oh ok especially girls from Vimala college ;-), if we missed, it is shameful, isn't it. while we are in confusion to take a decision somebody (most likely Melvin) says "Run". within no time we start running.and never missed bus in such occasions.
Jeesna mol was still refused to come with me. So I gave an offer; ice-cream from Wimbis. It seems working. she is in confusion. she gave a glance to me and to her Umma. then walked besides me :-) she started talking to me. (in a second her mind changed)
"who are these people, uncle?"
"looks like beggars" she added.
She saw one kid was swinging( in an Oonjal made by those gypsies) . she wanted to swing in the same one. Kids have no problem with beggares, cast, religion, white, black.
No wonder that Jesus told "unless you become like children, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven". They are the heaven; they are the key to make this world a heaven.
I was in dilemma; what to do not to put her in cry? tried the same old trick. "if we spend much time here, we will not get ice-cream".she agreed with that and marched towards Wimbis. Unfortunately it was closed :-( we had 7 teas in a particular day from that shop !!! it was a good spot to see Vimala Girls ;-) what to do ; boys-inte ororo prasnagal
"Uncle, where is the ice-cream?"
pulivaalayallo
"yeah, we are going to get it from Varsha. see this shop is closed"
Varsha; the place were we ordered only cool milk; just 4 Rs at that time and it is a heaven.
On the way I saw pallimoola Church. it has renewed. it is very big now. Changes everywhere.
Reached Varsha and Jubin or somebody picked Jeesamol with them. and she got ice-cream from them. As usual I ordered a coool milk. I am not sure how many cool milk we -I,Mel, Bijoy - had from there.

Then moved back to college. time for lunch. planning, choices for hotels, likes/dislikes. Anyway decided to choose a new hotel, Mothimahal. Just for a change. Again confusion; what to order; north indian, chineese .blah blah.
Jiju added "while we are in Italy, we are in search for meals; here we are searching for Pizzas"
Then a quick visit to City-Centre and to Alukas hotel for a beer. Ohh its name is also changed to somethingelse.

Anyway I found something unchanged; A bat in the electric lines near to New computer science block. Anil swears that it was there while we studied there. Anyway I am sure that it was there two years before while I was a guest lecturer there.
I forgot to Add that before we had lunch Dhanush went to C-49 to see his old hostel room.
to be continued...
Whole world was watching Thrissur Pooram at Swaraj Round and I was watching it on TV !!!
Whole stream was flowing to Thrissur and I was flying away from it.
My favorite item is the Pooram firework and it was cancelled/blocked by the authorities due to a fire explosion accident- result in death of 7 ( some people says that the firework was cancelled not to show the condolence to the people who died for it but it was to show the angry towards the arrest warrant to the high officials) Anyway I missed it. So went to see Ali aka akku at CUSAT.
While return back I had experienced a heavy block at Sakthan Thamburan Market. Road was still in fact dead. I waited around 15min in bus. Bus has moved only a meter or less.
I wish if I were a Spiderman !!!
but how can I use the spidernet? Market is a vast open place without a single tall building. :-( So I decided to walk. Believe me; even after 1KM walk no vehicle was moved more than 3 meters. Reached at the railway station junction and saw a complete deadlock; the police man was helpless. he was walking between and giving instructions ; and things were out of his control ; he can not give instruction to the driver who was trying to penetrate half a KM away :-)
I continued to walk to home around 1 and half KM away. And saw a friend of mine and he was 'biking' towards the town. I gave a warning to him not to choose those roads; he was astonished that I was walking all the way from there.
"Are you a Phantom?"
Yes he is also working in a software company where the people are getting called by the name of this superhero, if they happened to use staircase instead of lift ;-)
My Mom was very happy to see that I was sweating all over;
"enthenkilum aavette kurachu nadanna lakshanam undu"
----footnote---
The Pooram firework was cancelled on 1948 to give respect to Mahatma Gandhi and 1962,63 (unknown reasons). and on 2006 it was postponed to next day without much notice and I was @ cochin; A big loss for me :-(
Though my wish was to go to Pondy, I have exceeded my expectation . ente oru karyam.
Hence striking off the second wish.
I came to know the meaning of Avenger Advt. after a 764KM long ride on it from Chennai to Bangalore and back.

Part II : Once WE lived there
While walking through the corridor near to chemistry lab, ...oh in fact nothing to remember, we don't have any lab exam for chemistry. Went directly to first floor where once CSEain ruled. we got a nice view to college ground from first floor. The steps(to 2nd floor) near to that remind me the busy final(some times first) preparation for the University exams.

After we moved to new block, it converted to Architecture Block :-( hence we lost a chance to reach the classroom where we studied for 2 years ( or 2 ½ ?) . (adding a file photo on the left side that carries the memories Formals Day ; just for a jada)

then moved to second floor and stuck in front of room number 300. It was locked;hence lost a sure picture; The classroom room with a view to the hills near by AIR; The classroom right above the head of Principal ; We spend our 3rd year almost completely there. had quite a few good photos there. adding one here
The first thing that might come to my college days might be some special 'device' we had. this can not be seen anywhere in the world( not even in museums). Yes it is our and our only college bus... A BENZ before our Independence Day

Once the school kids called it as "kaala vandi" (Bullock cart !!!) while we were travelling through Thrissur round. No wonder; kids have a capability of naming this correctly. Sainabi's Kid ,Jeesnamol, named it as a train after seeing the top view of the bus from 2nd floor, later she expressed her doubts "Umma is this a bus? " !!!
We used to travel in this bus even though there was a new bus in the same route.Yeah We knew its value ;-)
we walked out of the main building and reached near to the tree near to the hockey ground which is better known as Mech Tree. Soon Ranjith PB (the only CEO in the class) and Anupama joined us.
to be continued...
Apart from my first five wishes, I 've one more wish.
Talk to my crush. She looks like an angel in her blue churidar. Girls can quite impress me with their neat dress. She has a big eye. Usually I don't like big eyes.( believe me, George don't like Parvathi, A mallu actress with BIG eyes, on her advantage-able big eyes which is attracted by many people.) yet I could see a beauty on her simple face. felt a crushing feeling. What to do !!!
How to talk. if she was in my 'floor' !!!(George wish). I was thought about going right into her chair and talk something. but couldn't .
Am I too shy to talk to girls ?
or lack in Guts !!!
really don't know how to make a situation with a natural occurrence :-( Most sad thing is... whenever she came right infront of me, I just avoid her !!!! I don't know how to start with. Is she avoiding me too?!! May be she is also shy to talk to Christian boys or she might be lack in guts ;-)
Am I loving her? huh!!
Not sure about that. How can I love her with just face and name!!?
But there is something which I can not express.
Should I talk !!!
whenever I see her I feel pain somewhere inside? Is it on my heart or in mind?
If it is in my mind, I needn't bother about her. let her live on her way.
if it is in... my heart?!!! ... Am in a big trouble :-(
So in summary I need to monitor my heart better :-)
Adding my 6th wish to others.

drafted this entry a couple of months ago and done minor modifications though content remains same.
There is a difference while riding a Yamaha CruxR and Bajaj Avenger.
Yeah technically one is 109 cc while later is 179cc. one is with 4 gears others is with 5.
Still my mind is with the first one. I felt that it is more powerful than later; sorry it is my own opinion. I like the growling of CxR than the rumbling of Avenger. I feel the power even in its 4th gear. Many occasions I try to change the gear suspecting that I was in 3rd gear.( 3 more people I know have the same opinion; My Brother, My Cousin and My friend ;-) On other hand I felt that Avenger can't pull the slants in its 2nd gear where CruxR could do the same in 3rd.I am very aggressive while riding CxR; always make sure than I am riding more than 50kmhr.
Ok I am stop praising a foreign company. let us adore our bikes.
I like to ride Avenger comparatively slowly to enjoy the style maximum. Sorry I never felt like a God but a king of roads (Of course if no bullet types are around); I can see it in the eyes of people; a kind of admiration to the man who is riding a cruiser type. and some time people give way too; and at time some fellows try for a race.
Money wise I felt more value while bought a CruxR though it is 30k lesser; was a guest lecturer at that time and there is no money just to play with.
One of the reason why I picked out Avenger is the gear shifting method; same for both
5 years after my B.tech I drove in to the campus for the first time with Ikon. cool isn't it. the picture with BSA SLR came to my mind with which some time I went to the collage. Marked first entry for the get-together with Bijoy. smelled and took a deep breath of fresh mud after prev night's rain.
A few minutes later Manoj came and as usual started firing; why didn't us called him?!!! Soon Anil and Jiju joined. I never expected these much from Anil. Anil with long hair (tightened by a rubber band). Can you imagine?!! Jiju became a bit fat. still crazy about Cricket ! Playing for his company and it is his only exercise. Sooner vikas joined with his military type trousers.(did he was on Jail there; he got some number on that trouser ;-) within no time Manoj and he clashed on their 'philosophism'. No change even after 5 years. to whom should I blame !!
As expected Jubin joined us with wide open smile. "ellavarum ethiyo". shared
Anitha came with Sainabi and her daughter Jeseenamol. she is smart little kid though she was resist to mingle with us. but we were glad to see that she was not crying. she was ready to go with other 'Girls' in the gang and with Shanavas. religion effect ? Sainabi seems a little bit frustrated about that communalist joke and begged not to repeat.
"Joj anybody else to come?"
"yeah of course..Dhanush might be a bit late. PB and Abhi will surely join."
"Jimson and Anupama are on the way" -Bijoy Added.
As soon as he finished Abhilash appeared near to Milma booth.
"No 1", everybody screamed; he was the roll number 1 in the class. a bit fatter , working with/under/for PB, still resists to smile. we promised him that we will talk to PB to revise his perks. still he is not smiling; what to do ?!
"what is the plans guys?"
"wait for Dango, Jim and Anu. I don't think that somebody else will come"
"then"
"we just roam around the campus and take some snaps, tea from wimbis, lunch from Lucia most likely"
"why can't we try somewhere else for lunch ?"
the talk is disturbed with the watchmen(he seems to be)
"Are you old students of this collage"
"yeah"
"Did you saw that new board?"
"Yes"
He was pointed to a new sign board saying not to use the ground without permission. Did he expected some bribe? Anyway he dared not to disturb us further !!
Dhanush joined the party a little bit late with his Nikon D50 (with -24-80mm and 70-300mm Nikkor Lenses and Minolta X-300 with 50mm Minolta Lens) and we decided to move to our new computer science block where we attended the class/seminar nearly for a month. For me, my teaching days were greener than the student life there. taught there around 5 months and the final year students were my juniors. really nice experience to tame the people who think they are the best in the college and they have gave no value to the teachers.
After taking some snaps we went back through our favourite Cricket ground; one of the best in Thrissur. I am not sure which all are the pictures flashed through my mind. But definitely it includes the first ball I had bowled with stitch ball to our seniors in the association match, trying to keep the wicket for Jiju's First over (he was a tremendous blower and it is tough to collect his fast balls with half tampered keeping gloves), Played against st.Thomas' college (my pre-degree college; best team in TCR) and st Aloysius college , a few class matches. and for sure the memories of Super Six match and the claps was the brightest among them.

Do you really think that your beloved one is getting good treatment at ICU [at night]?
Take care... my Uncle passed away the day before Y'day. We suspect that he was dead at 4AM and the ICU nurses didn't know it even after 5.30. and they played a cool drama to hide the fact. they asked his wife to buy some tea for him at 5.45 (why?) and called his daughter to ICU at 6 to show that he is head. His legs were ice-cold at 6. It will take at least one hour to become a dead body ice-cold!!!
The same unlucky Uncle has an experience in ICUs a month before. He has been said to my father that even after calling the sleeping nurse a couple of times, she didn't woke up and he made a loud noise to wake her up. Similar things happened to one of other relative too. They are telling that it is hell.
Why can't they allow at least one in the ICU?
Nobody in the world can take care of your parents better than you.

Read another event from a Malayalam Blog here .
First time in my life I completed a English novel(was it a novel?) with more than 250 pages.
one night @ call centre by Chetan Bhagat.
only a few character set. otherwise I won't complete. of course other reason is that it is not in a very small font.
Happy to see that a big writter is also hating Cola. and he made me to think against pizza's too. And for sure not only call centre folks are wasting their talents !!! but lot more !!
Why do they require a genuine graphics designer/programmer to maintain their Java code base?
Why do they require a person who is capable of solving rhombic cube (also completed a Lisp program to solve the same) to maintain their mainframe?
why do they require a person who is very good at Theory Computers and Mathematical models to develop/maintain their network products?
All above said were my old b-tech classmates; now working at different MNCs.
And what @#$%^ thing I am doing here?
And why I sacrified all joyful moments of teaching ?
Just for money ?!!! (kassu enthayalum pulikkunnilla !!!)
might be two reasons:
I love programming too ; with out programming I can't live
Students are thinking that All teachers are worthless to get a software job, though they didn't ask me.

Even the drivers are wasting their time sleeping idle for the whole day in the parking lot ; of course in AC on their boss' account.
The only word I can say about Madhuchandralekha. A Rajasenan-Jayaram-Urvasi movie. naturally expected a show but felt desperate. total waste.
Poor Rave called us on next day and enquired about the movie. The sadists in our mind arose. we said that its a good movie; fun ; good story etc. So he went for the movie along with our unlucky neelu. We couldn't stop there. We suspected that he might run away after first half. So we called him after one hour the movie started. he was cursing us ;' yaar what a junk movie ; how could you say good about this movie and all' . But we confirmed 'Don't worry yaar ..the climax is wonderful, second half is ultimate'
"oraale vattakkubol enthu sukham"; its our pleasure to put somebody in a terrific situation.
Seems contradicting ?
On April first I had proved that we can save at least two screws from the gas stove; I mean one screw from each burner.
We ( I and aith) had planned to cook beef ourselves on that day; ourselves means without SMT. So I had called mom to know the 'algorithm' and 'code-flow'. She stunned me with her answer.
"Aavasyathinnu uppu, mulaku, malli, inji, manjal, masala podi , pacha mulaku, vellulli chertharachu ara manikkor beef-il kootti illakki vevikkan vachathinu sesham Aavasyathinnu kachiya meat- masalayum sabolayum athil cherkkuka !!!"
Here is a tough English translation.
"Take necessary salt, chili, coriander, ginger, turmeric, masala powder, green chilies, garlic and mix it with beef then keep it for 1/2 hour, put it on cooker for around another half an hour;then mix necessary roasted masala/onion to it"
"Mom... all I want to know is what necessary means?".
"Son... do you know the size of spoon I am using here?"
"no"
"I don't know the size of spoon you are using..then how can I say the amount !!"
Did she called me "fool" too ?
na.
May be my wild thoughts.
Anyway I decided to add 'necessary' amount of all those things. After half-an-hour we put it in the burner and turned the burner ON. though it turned ON, it's knob came out from it. Quality product!!!
So our attention turned into it. we successfuly found that one small screw (with max 7mm length and 1 mm width) was unscrewed down. how to screw it back ? it is very small and we don't have any screw driver even.
On further 'analysis' we found that it will be easy if we could unscrew a bigger one. we done it with a knife. and continue to screw 'the small' one. but still it was very difficult. On experimenting or say, reverse engineering with other burner, we found that we get wider area if we turned the knob a bit up. and successfully screwed 'the small' screw hence restored the knob to its original position.
While putting back the cooker to burner, we noticed that one bigger screw was simply laying near to the stove. !!! still the stove is working fine ;-)
As a member of 'Fools Garden' I am glad to do these kind of activities to keep my membership.
that too on our own day.

My sister was 6 days late to born :-)
Ultimate Meera Jasmin Movie. Want to see her tricks !!! go watch it. you might feel that it is only 10min for the first half. And may see some director's trick too. two cool twists ...very smoothly... without your expectation... then second half. That time you will reach on a high expectation; sorry it may not reach upto that.
Just saw Meera Jasmin's face in the poster pasted on AVM, decided to watch it even without knowing it is Sanda Kozhi ;don't know to read Tamil :-( quickly finished the dinner at Campus (in front of AVM) and penetrate into our 'Tharavaadu' theater.(Watched many movies in the same one)
One twist was resembles to that of Madavan's move in the movie Run; Simply showed that he was frightened and acted as running away fearfully, finally trapped the street fighters into closed shutter. You may see a similar one in a different way. sorry for spoiling these much. still I bet you will not remember what I said now at that time. of course second twist is still waiting for you. Other than these three, I mean two twists + Meera Jasmin, do not expect further.
Cast : Meera Jasmine, Vishal, Raj Kiran and Lal
Director: N. Lingusami.
Accompanied to the show: Bijoy And Anoop
Post : Right after the movie (1.00 AM)
might be in my childhood :-? Not with my real sense.
Since I am interested in mangos a lot my father influenced me to plant some buds. Also he forced me to plant some coconut tree since it 'was' integral part of Kerala ( also it was a money earning tree). A Mallu proverb is strengthening the concept. "sambathu kalathu thai pathu nattal , Aapathu kalathu Ka pathu thinnam" ; If you plant a tree while you are rich, you may eat its fruit while you bankrupt/
May be one of the thought keep wandering on in my mind these days is "What I have done for my society ?"
I am not sure whether planting a tree is something worth for our Nation or not. Still I am going to do that.but where ? In Chennai ? Can I plant a tree inside my rented flat ?!!!! I didn't own any single inch in Chennai . neither in Thrissur.
But my father owns a land(may be around 1/4th of an acre) and belongs to a middle class family. He married a village girl before 30 years and has 3 descendants by now. Still She is a typical village woman with a great generosity towards nature and plants. No doubt that she inherited those qualities from her father who was a Head Master of a High School by profession and a farmer by birth.
Whenever she found a space in her small 'estate' she plants something. it was a kind of mini-forest. Believe me, the sun rays couldn't even touch a lion part of her territory. And was very cool to walk in between tree and most of the time with a bent head (not to hit the lower part of trees) .But later that forest was cropped down to build a home. You may guess her sorrow. Was grown up in Acres of land;then replanted to the heart of 'business' centre of Kerala; yet happily designed and maintained her own small land in the City. Now she is struggling to get a significant land to plant a big tree. :-(
What do you think ? How long she sits idle ? now she found that our terrace is enough strong to carry at least 1 banana tree + 10 Kolli kada + 5 'instance of' chembu etc. Also she planted green chili in between. Now she extended her territory to the roof too !!!
If I ask her "Mother, I wish to plant something, Advice me what to plant and where to?".She might faint down !!!or at least she will look at me with open eyes for long time. Whatever, at the end of it, she might Roll on floor laughing :-) and Say with a laugh "You ..you my son...". she has no expectation that I will follow her legacy on these matter compare to my bro or sis (they clearly shown their interest to help her before I though about it)
Or there is a chance for a serious comment too
"What happened my child, are you OK?".
...are lazy to wake up before sunrise. we are no exception. So we targeted to watch sun rise.
If you have room mate like 'aith' aka rbk, you need to just wish. he will plan/execute it on the very next possible time.
---footnote---
This might be my 5th or 6th earliest wake up. First one was before 20 years !!!!
I woke up on 4AM to see Pope John Paul II. On February 07,1986 Thrissur was blessed to host the Pope.
This is not a 'yet another' entry for the girl in the church choir. but for the lovely choir itself. When I came to vadapalani I started search for a church and got a list of three churches. I felt that the church in kodambakkam is easily findable. went there and saw a beautiful church surrounded with trees and aquarium near by. (Also they built a beautiful grotto recently.)
That might be my forth Holy Mass in my whole life ! yet impressed by the atomosphere and the style of speech and of course the choir. they sang beautifully and though I couldn't follow the lyrics, the theme of the songs were easily stuck in my heart. The synchronization and the usage of words are perfectly matching not to lose the theme. most of them are teenagers and only a few boys.
They have a third generation choir too ! Kids ! less than 10 years old. ohh boy ! you *must* listen them. They are singing right from their heart with full voice they could. And by the advantage of innocence in their heart the theme is crystal clear.
That is the Rejoice !
I had thought that every English Holy Mass is like the same. Once I had enquired to Binny about the Church he goes regularly. It was very near to his flat and he had invited me to that church and I went there next sunday. From then only I had realised that there is something in my previous church and I gave a reverse invitation to Binny(2 KM from his flat). The result is... as far as I know he didn't go to the church near to his flat again (though it is in a walk able range!!!)
----footnote----
If you failed to visit Fathima Church @ Kodambakkam on 9AM, please do watch the English movie 'Sister Act' to know the power of Choir. I did watch this movie Y'day hence motivated to write down this post. Yet another Good movie by Whoopi Goldberg aka Sister Mary Clarence.
what do you think? I've a few close friends, pretty good friends-circle and a very few of them are females. Then if you specifically ask about a 'girl friend' ;the girl who is thinking about me more often and the girl who want to be with me all the time; answer is NOT yet :-(
The girl in the church choir is not at all my girl friend as many people suspect or even she is not a crush to me. that is a mind wakening trick to get up in the morning and goto church. But it is nice to hear that "George, how is your girl in the church choir". A few of them are interested to take responsibility to talk to her about future ;-) and also in a few occasions I just threatened my mother using her name.
To get a girl friend, I need to talk her atleast once. Don't you think so ?
Am I too shy to talk to girls ?
not completely I would say. I think I am a reverse communalist. I don’t mind talking to a Hindu or Muslim girl if I intended to. Then what is the problem with Christian Girls. That to specially Mallu Christian girls. I don’t have any problem with taller or fatter girls too.
So where is the problem of my shyness?
Reason might be...
possibly...
I suspect that she is made from my own missing rib ;-)
Exactly 75 year by now. Three youngsters sacrificed their life for our nation. They have a vision ... they have an expectation... Do you value it?
Yesterday Morning I saw their faces on news paper and decided (with in no time) to watch Rang de basanti. Bhagat Singh was my childhood hero (still not much change) . I still remember the scene I was listening my father with wide open eyes while he was narrating his brave stories. I don' think that my eyes were wet while hearing that Bhagat faced his death with a smile. It was further open with pride.
Bhagat... We Salute your courageousness !
The first scene of the movie itself was impressive. Smiling face of Bhagat just before death with a special AR Rahman's music!. Though last scenes are unrealistic, the movie as total with its great theme is marvelous. Aamir Khan as DJ and Atul Kulkarni as Laxman Pandey were excellent though I like the Siddharth’s Bhagath Singh. Because that character is my all time hero :-)
I do remember the day I first sipped Coke. It was on 1996-world-cup; Ind-SL semi-final. Paid around 60 Rs for 2 bottles and planned to drink after
After a few months I changed my mind to Pepsi and finally stuck in sprite since it is colurless and felt more taste. And I was happy to see that Sprite contains less harmful ingredients (still more enough to trouble humans). Anyway thanks to Plachimada strike against Coke which atleast brought out some naked truths.
On ‘my’ latest new year I had thought about a new resolution and decided to quit Cola.
it is tough to ignore Sprite on each train journey.
I can not add Pepsi to Rum to deduce its intense smell and taste.
What I will drink after a trip or a ‘cricket’ match ;-)
A lot of hurdles!!!
Now I started carrying water along with me in train journeys. (I am used to it nowadays)
Only Soda (or chilled water) to Rum. (it is horrible; so eventually reduced to 1 peg and now not much interested ;-) . But sure I will go back to fulfill my fifth wish
Drinking Soda or tea or even lime juice after a trip. And quit playing Cricket ;-) “eliye pedichu illam chuduka” –its a mallu proverb to narrate the foolishness of burning your house in the fear of rats inside it. People have feeling that they must drink Coke after a cricket match. Or Ad guys think that people must do it. “Piyo siar udakke” ;F*** .
Now I would like to follow Mahatma Gandhi's path of 'The non-cooperation movement'.
"Quit-Cola save water"
"Lunch ?"
waiting for the response from Gopi.
"yeah... sure but from where"
"ohh akka on leave :-)"
"so let us try in Kerala mess", he selected the place soon.
"But it is 1.5 KM from here"
"pullu...So what...we've your Bike !!!"- he reminded.
ohh man ...I nearly forgot about it. as usual I am thinking how to get Bike from Rave!!! NOW why worry ..needn't wait for somebody's permission :-)
Also the cruiser changed our weekend style from-top-to-bottom.
No need of any plan in advance. just decide and cruise.
Instead of renting CD we went to satyam for Movie Taxi No 9211 (ultimate Nana Patekar movie, worth watching again) and Narnia ( IMO it didn't touched me anywhere :-( might be interesting for children; a few bit and piece of nice work though)
Even I forgot to check mails and got to know Ind-Eng cricket update.
Now I needn't wait for Binny's Bike to go to Church. or to football ground either.
After lunch on Sunday somebody suggested to cruise the beach shores. didn't took a second to decide what to do. I was pretty sure that Rave will also join for long drives. we six went to a local beach, 25KM away from room, with football.
Boy ...it is nice to play football in shore tooo... though not much easy to move on sand, it is fun to slide down for the ball. and bathe in sea. then stand in the cool breeze.
Ultimate trip.
In case if you want to know your colour, here it is
Yellow: "You are sweet and innocent. Trusted by many people, and have a strong leadership towards relationships. You make good decision and make the right choice at the right time. And always dreaming of Romantic Relationship."
Agree with the first statement. Don't you think that George is sweeeeet and innocent ;-)
Second statement seems to be motivating. Do he has leadership qualities???
He would always like to support the leader, do not wanna be a leader. In many occasion he was successful in assisting the leader. Agree that most of the people I know is ready to trust him. though I don't know the depth of their trust-ness'.
I am not sure about the third sentence. Is he a good decision maker !!!?
Confused :-?
Might be good in selecting his dresses. it is a very fast process. get into the show room, select the 5 to 8 th Shirt. It will not take more than 15min.
In life !!! I don't believe in his ability to make a fast decision.
And of-course he is always dreaming about a romantic relationship.
wanna carry her in both hands through out (until she weigh more than 65Kg ;-)
his chest will be her pillow !!!
she will wake up on his kisses. or otherwise :-)
mone dinesh!!!. stop this. reality might be very far away than your dream ;-)
footnote:
Yellow is not at all my colour. I like Green the Most. Next option is Blue;navy blue in specific.
Striking out the first target.
Guys, Are you ready ????
First... a few pending movies;
Rang de basanti, Narnia, Taxi No 9211.
Now I got why SMT was waking up atleast by 8 O'clock and why MOON is throwing light at the night. How 9 year old child can understand that Moon just reflects Sun light. If it is so, where is the Sun !!! okkie if your child is facing this problem, rent SMT's room and sleep with balcony door kept open. Kid will learn this theory as the first thing in the next morning. The huge 'Acrot Terrace', near to our flat, shines like a sun. You can not escape from it anywhere in the room.
Last Friday night, I slept in SMTs room with balcony door kept open and SMT was in a bangalore tour, pretended as if he is going for an interview. (his fiancée is in BPL, blr ;-)
Started the day with "Schindler's List". Needn't explain about Steven Spielberg's award-winning masterpiece. Heart touching movie; you can not take your eye from the screen. Even I continue to read the ending titles and all. And a call from 'Jamesbond' number "hutchxx007" brought me into present.
"Gopi !!!! Are you not in the room...I thought you are sleeping somewhere" , I surprise.
"No... I am in the company..what is the plan for lunch today?"
"shall we go Kumarakam then !!!"
"No ... I am thinking in another way ... why can't we cook ?"
"Chicken !!!!"
"No ..I dont like chicken flu worms ;-) what about cooking Fish"- Gopi was so interested to experiment with Fish.
"Fish for the first time ..that too without SMT..I dont think that it is a nice idea", a try to make him think in reverse way.
"Don't worry ...we will cook... with my sister's recipe". he was confident.
We went to Fish market. And felt that 'Ayila' displayed there was looking good. she asked Rs40 for 4 medium sized fish. But we were ready to pay Rs 60 ;-) We were tried to convince her that it looks so fresh to deserve a 60. but she was not ready to agree with that.It seems that she is not interested to waste time by arguing with us. She packed the fish and asked for 45.But we were not ok with that deal. Finally Gopi interfered us; 50 with cutting charge !!! At last she agree with Gopi's suggestion ;-)
Bought some more items in the list and returned back room.
took some turmeric+ chili + pepper + ginger + garlic + salt and put it into mixie.
"George... where are you !!! ..Are you a submarine to vanish as soon as I took my eyes from you.???"
"No da... I am cutting Onion as you said. and my eyes are free to see 'Coming to America'(;an Eddie Murphy movie). Gopye... nowadays you have no faith on me. You see how obedient I am".
"Then who will grind the coconut ?"
"You may do it or use the readymade powder. Don't expect me to remind you all things in your life"
kee kee... kee kee
Ohh reminder to return back the rented CDs ;-)
....
why long to write!!! (enthinathikam 'parayan')
At last Fish Curry ready ;-)
"Gopye ...Let me taste. "
"Don't taste the fish... check only curry ;-)"
...
"Dai ..something is missing"
"May not..we followed the list very properly, right".
"Did you switched on the gas stove ;-) ..kidding".
"I think ..we have missed tamarind. "
:-(
"Call your Mom and ask what to do"
...
Finally everything is ready.
On the right time... here comes our kalakaran. :-)
...in this company!!! Joined the company on this date with Pankaj, my X-roommate, X-colleague.
A company in networking field; I have no idea about networking before.
A company with freedom based on trust.
A company on flexi-timing ; I love this. and hate this on other hand.
This company provides me a platform to work on a OS which I never dreamt about.
Unlike my brilliant classmates, I got a chance to use the 'Tool' C.
Though I am in 3rd year, frankly I say I am in 3rd month. Only last couple of month, I started a feeling that I am working for something. Rests of the days are a normal yasj. just fixing bugs !!! Now I have a bit dreams to do something. Let us see.
Ok leave the junk part of it. translating it to a Tamil Way.
Ennada ezhuve.... matterukku Vaada...
Common roomies.... where to go tonight !!!
Off topic:
Happy woman's day to all women readers of this blog.
Company celebrated 10year long engineering partnership with our great client. I *must* agree the event organization power of employees here. a week back, the sportday we had celebrated clearly shown the power Scrudees + Admin guys. you know... the best event without the support of higher management is our Onam only. a 40K bash. A good show by mallus with Karala style competitions. This time it is Aparna and KP; mallus again.
All the cultural programs were really good. started with lamp dance... + A fantastic dance by Mina and malar for taal se tal mila. It was a feast for eyes. then a few talks. And here comes the dancer 'Neelu'. It was worth watching once again. A suprub show by Ezhil, he was also there in folk dance with Yassar. then Binny's all time hit, MIME. The stage program was end with a chained Tamil chitramala from 1930s to 2006.
After delicious dinner, one Danppan koothu on the dance floor. "we will...we will rock you" again. Felt like a college day. just forgot myself. I don't know from where the energy came into my vein !!! blasted again with Hindi, tamil fast/slow songs.
Footnote by SMT(a Visteon employee):
If a company provides so much freedom, whatelse you can not do?
...I need to plan what to do. Do you have any suggestions?
Here is my plan in draft !!
1) Buy a new bike, most likely cruiser type; and majority vote for Bajaj Avenger ( sooner) (Done)
2) A trip to Pondy in the Bike, likely in End of March 06 (Done)
3) Drive my Car from Thrissur to Chennai.(End of June 06) (Done)
4) A fly to Goa with Melvin and all (3rd week of Oct 06)(Done)
5) Drunk until vomit. (Any time ;-)
6) talk to my crush ( Never ; I Afraid )
7) Himalayan Treck (December 06)
8) My primary wish : (I want to get married next year.) (Done)
9) plough a field with a tractor !!! ( if wishes die ..you dead)
it started again after 5 months. wake up in the morning is the nicest thing to do in a Day. you will get a lot of time to spare. to read news paper. to do some kind of exercise. want to study something(who will do !!!!).
Most important is we can see our roommates !!!! :-) start chit-chat on the morning itself. Plans for the weekends ! Movie reviews ! what so ever coming into your mind. My roommate, SMT, is a communist. So topic might be related to that ... it will travel across the world... religion ... and what not !!!!
Back to football, As Usual we gathered near our tea shop and a plain 'T' to start with and marched towards the ground. Everybody was tired in just 10 min and continued for 35Min. This time pretty a few new joinees in the group. I don't know how long they will play. Anyway it is good to see around 12 guys to play around.
And of course, lime juice at the end; without it, it will not be an end !!
Sorry...Life is not a Mime. whatever !!!
You can do anything on a mime. Want to fall in love !!! yes of course !
You want to propose the heroine in your own dream way... yup go ahead.
You want to re-join your heart broken by her ? Why worry... it is so easy.
Just change the script !!!
The same thing we can not do in the Life :-(
There is no Undo button ;-)
You have to carefully design the system and sadly 90% of things are out of your control.
If you knew things before it happen, what is the thrill on it !!!
That is the beauty of life. You can not predict it. face as it is !!!
George went for a shopping with his roommates to T.Nagar, Specifically Saravana Stores. it seems that every chennaites are spending 20% of their salary there;otherwise they need to spend 25% somewhere else. Items are so cheap to resist buying it. And George was a bit sad to see that his rbk chappal cost 250 less there :-( .The only man who didn't get a shoe of this choice might be his room mate,SMT ;-) I don't think that he could buy a shoe from somewhere else in the world.
Met my old student there with her mother, last time she was with her father. Is world too small ??
"Mother..this is 'George' sir ...", is she still shivering !!!! (FYI lab session were a bit tough with George; as he will not allow any of his students to eascape with out a quality code)
"yeah, I heard about you a lot...", seems that her mother is also not a step behind to praise George.
"ohh thanks..but I am not a proud teacher nowadays... just a yet another software junk now :-("
Want to see a crowd like Thrissur Pooram !!! come and visit SS.
Salim Kumar did an excellent job. superb selection, Lal Jose !
The movie simply narrated problem of conversion from one religion to another, the problems of over expectations over children, the society behaviours towards victims of brutal rapes, mental state of a middle-class family.
At any moment I didn't felt sentimental, though the theme was! That is the difference while compare to 'Thanmatra'. Personally I felt Salim kumar did a better job than what Mohan Lal did in Thanmatra. Final 10-20 minutes was amazing. You can not say that Salim was either Psychic or normal. He showed the thin line between those two.
Camera was also good and script/dialog as well!!
Am happy to see that Malayalam Movies are returning back in form.
For me if I am attempting to do something for the first time, I feel proud.
If you got succeeded, you can see a triumph on your face.
Otherwise your mind goes blank. you might feel a bit sad.
Yet I believe, no matter what the result was !!! keep going. Be proud what you have done. it is always better to do something than not doing anything.
I have been experienced both feeling in a few different occasions.
A bit pressure is always good. it is really nice to be busy with work. think... A few people are watching you, a few are waiting for your analysis, You are waiting for somebody else’s test result, you are waiting for somebody’s reply !!! it is a good feeling, isn't it.
Thanks Bill, Zulfiqar, Markand for your queries, doubts. Thanks Quang,Praveen,Vijay for your test results; Thanks Steve, Mark, alon,Anish for your support; Thanks Binny, Ram for making me busy with rehearsal for Cultural activities. Thanks Bijoy for calling me for a C evaluation; got a chance to see a good C guy again in company/
It is always good to be busy with something to forget your personal tension, anxiety etc. I always love to do 3 or 4 different things in a day/
"No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
-Luke 9:62.
While I was in 10th I heard this sentence for the first time from my father.
"Kalappayil kai vachittu thirinju nokkunnavan swargarajyathinnu yogyanalla".
May be he noticed the lack of interest in my studies. It was the right time he had used this weapon. It motivated me a lot at that time. Also Even Now I am using this same old trick to complete something I had started. But surprisingly my dream for a Malayalam spell Checker is on the half way for last 4 years !!!! :-(
We celebrated sports day first time ever @ Nehru stadium. it is just like a collage day events. Around 23 events with 100/200/400 meter dash, high/long jumps, short put, javelin, sack race etc. surprisingly I did participated in 1500 m dash which was not scheduled earlier...and of course with bare boot. I don’t remember that I did anything similar to this in school/college days though I was interested in other games like Cricket, football, tt, chess, carom etc. We could see a good competition between 3 female athletes and 2 Male athletes.
The view from the top of stadium is impressive!!! Also we could see Central Railway station and International indoor stadium from this one.
Most importantly we re-made our college “TaTta TaTta .. eeyaa ovaa G E C” ( mathanga ..ithu engane manglishil ezhuthumadai !!!) . Done the same for our company. !!!
footnote:
I am too was not interested much on this event since I was involved in a few interesting work and a critical bug as well. Luckily the bug got fixed in the previous day. This is the first time in the company I did neglected the mail threads about events ;-) Anyway Bijoy, Raveesh and all pulled me into the stadium. Otherwise my miss will be a miss ( ente nashtam oru nashtam thanne aayenne ennu ;-)
Current Song: Samayamam Radathil njan .... Is this a coincident ??!!!
George didn't give any permission to somebody to do this. look at his lips; how dare she was !!!
People have been told first experience will cherish for ever. Yes, it is his first experience. First time ever somebody is kissing him. Got a chance to know her curves a bit. Do not misunderstand George. He is a decent fellow and didn't like this at all ;-) intentionally or not ..it happened.
He was driving his brand new Ikon from mission hospital to back home. His little cousin was admitted there for a minor head injury. He stopped the car at the signal near to Sakthan thamburan market. His intension was to drive straight to market as it is the short cut to home. As soon as the signal was cleared he slowly took his car a couple of meter forward, a splendor hit on his left side, and flew into the market!
How dare he was !!! to overtake a vehicle from left side. He was just behind George, coming from the same hospital,(His daughter was admitted there) and going to Thrissur Round. he *must* stop at the right side of the car, if his intension was to go to right side of the signal. It seems that it is all planned by somebody!!! both the parties were busy to return back from hospital as it is 2.30 noon and not taken the lunch. it is just like George went there from Chennai on that morning and gave his car to kissed by a splendor :-(
Not much injury to the splendor guy; just shaken his paint from the knee and the foot rest bent a little.
George didn't notice even a single scratch on the car, but later his mother showed a small pit near to headlight. a 1 cm miss ;-). On her word she can make a "kuzhi-appam" on that pit.
A second kiss happened on next day itself. but in a different way. On the way to ‘Cherthalla’, his sis is studying there, 115 Km away from Thrissur. George had driven around 160KM,himself. The road was very good and dividers made driving easy. And the car is so stable to drive in a 90KM/hr. The surprising thing is that his father, who didn't like to see his son driving above 60KM/hr, didn't noticed this !!! So he steadily raised the speed to touch 98KM/hr.
"Father, did you ever sat on a car which is flying in a speed of 100 ? "
"What ?"
"Nothing, you are going to experience it."
"Da da daa"
:-)
Dashboard speedometer safely kissed 100KM/hr. He had tried upto 105. The car was stable!!!
Is it because of death anniversary of Mahathma Ghadhi !!!! Don't think So.
Sadly I am not that much Patriotic :-(
Today After lunch in room and a catnap, I hang on the current bug, which deals with Memory fragments. Thought many solutions outof which 3 are reasonable, only two are under my control.(Confidential matters !!!) . Thought about fix and possible breakage, I walked out of the room and locked it with automated -7 levers-lock.
Only two steps... I had realised that I forgot Key inside, which is always kept in my wallet. yup I had forgot that too. ok why worry ??? just call Bijoy to bring key :-)
Where is mobile !!! I forgot that too :-(. never mind.Only a five minute walk... just goto company take the key from Bijoy, come back , take those two. Just two more steps !!!
where is My ID card !!!!
:-(
what to do now.
Why I need a ID card ? The gate security will issue a temporary card.
Who is going to call me at this time ??!! so why Mobile phone ;-)
If I don't want to take my mobile, why to collect key from Bijoy !!!
Ohh I forgot I have to take my wallet !!!
Why ?
I can approach a few in the company without any second thought.
So I am free !!! no need to carry anything. I really felt it.
This is how I made my second 'memorable day' by forgetting things [to do]
you *must* read it like the way Tom Hanks said in Cast Away while he made FIRE.
"look what I have created ....I ve made fire... I ...have ....made fire".
what is in driving our own car ourselves ..alone !!! may be nothing for you. But for me it is somewhat similar to above expression.
I had started driving while I was about to join Engg. college !!!! after 9 years I am driving alone !!!! "what happened ?" you might have asked !!!. My father had a car ; 'Ambassador Classic'; black in color. KLC 2479. if you are trying to learn shooting ..you must start aiming at thookanan kuruvi (the Weaver Birds). start with the toughest one ;-) This big car is a bit heavy for a lean teenager, don't you think so. But I thought about my school-classmate, Arun, who drove a brand ambassador right from his 13.
"Father, Don't you think that I am enough old to learn driving ?"
"Is it, do you think so ?"
"yes I am. Look ..Arun is driving since we were in 8th. and I am 18 now".
"ok as you wish !!! "
I was so happy ..running back to room to take the Key.
"Did you see that bucket and the cloth ?"
"yes I do"
"Good !!! bring some water near to car"
"Is that water necessary to learn driving...oh I got ... I had seen that you are filling water after open the bonnet.. but why cloth"
"yeah you got it son. but we had enough water to cool down the engine."
"Then !!!" I exclaimed.
"Those people who want to learn driving must clean the car first !!!!", he made his stance clear
"What ????... if I didn't clean.. then... "
"...you will not touch this car in your life"
I ...just ...shocked. its a determined voice.
"I'll clean only top and side; never wheels "
"Fine. but next day wheels only "- He defined.
---
Finally he showed how that car is working and all(luckly he didn't went to polytechnic; Thalayina mantram). First day he didn't even allowed me to start the car. Just gear changing to all positions !!! A couple of time I forgot to apply clutch; and the punishment was on the fly.
Next day, I had started my Car !!! (of course only after cleaning the wheel :-) , changed the gear to first. slowly applied the accelerator. chuck...chuck...chuck !!! three jumps like a horse and engine off !!! :-))
First assignment was is just to go straight forward and reverse back. After he himself comfortable with my ability to go and forth, he picked me to a road near to pookunnam with fields in both sides.
And he set a few rules too
Rule one : if any child come across, take your leg off from the accelerator and make a slight horn. Either they will give you side or they stay where they are !!!
Rule two :if you see some ladies around the road, just stop the car and 'shutdown'; don't make any noices.
"why ?"
"otherwise either they jump right infornt of you, or jump into the field".Eventhough he exaggerated things, I have a few experiences that shows children are better than women in the road.
Training was progressed pretty comfortable for three month until I had an injury on the collar bone(its broken while playing cricket). Doctor prescribed one month bed rest and hence stopped the driving. anyway I came to know that there is a bone called 'collar bone' in the shoulder.
Then I joined the Engg. college and forgot about driving at all.
And once I thought about driving again, it was too late !!! Father already decided to give retirement to the our 30 years old 'dude'. "muppathu kollam njangale ulakam chutticha... oru dozen unclemareyenkilum driving padipicha ...."(read it like the way Jagathi said in mazha peyunnu madalam kottunnu)
After 5 years from the first attempt to drive, I had taken the driving license for the four wheeler (and the two wheeler as well). at the time we owned no car( no bike as well). even though I got driving license, my father didn't allowed me to drive a car(uncle's car), eventhough they are ok. In their words this is how somebody is learning to drive. but my father alone seems to unaware about it. He has his own principles and policies.
A month back, father had decided to purchase a car. I had suggest Hyundai Santro. IHMO it is very simple car and easy to drive too. If he buy a long car, I am sure he will not give it to me for a drive. I know I might need to fight. Finally the same thing happened. As per my Aliyan's (Husband of my cousin) , he is supposed to be good in Automobiles, My father went for a Ford Ikon.
As expected, he didn't allowed me to drive it alone. He doesn't want to see some scratches in a newly bought car. I too have some fear of scratches. (Appane paranjittu enthu karyam, Aadhyam njan nannavanam ;-) wherever I go he follows just like hutch network (More precisely Gaadha Jam in Vandanam:-)) He was ready to spent all of his time to ensure no scratches.
The most irritating to me was his running commentary to give horn, apply brake for each and evrey corner. most of the time I am going to do all these :-( I got a few days in Christmas holidays to prove my driving skils. he seemed not satisfied. Next weekend I again went to home for out great Aranattukara St.Thomas church palli perunnal(enna vyajena ) Thought to drive car alone this time. No way !!! he was still with me. Again I have to prove that I applying horn in all turning; breakes every 'necessary' movements. But time up; time to come back while I almost made an impression that I can handle situations. Next time went to home town for Ranjit's Marriage. Got a few time to drive !!! Still I have to start building his confidence from ONE.
This Sunday, I have driven my car. Alone... to my aunt's home. Just 2KM. a sample drive to prove myself. then gave a lift to Bijoy to his home . A 12 KM drive. Then went to a marriage function 36KM. Even though my father was there along with me on last occasion, he didn't said a word eventhough I made a few mistakes.
Do you think that he changed his mind on this Sunday ;-) I had told that if he didn't allow me to drive alone, I will not drive this dream machine anymore :-) Simple isn't it ?
Do you think that he was frightenend of my words. !!! Never.
it might be because he thought like "enthenkilum chaiyyu"
or even... might be... he had built confidence on me :-?

For me, New Year starts with this day. in fact my_age++;
A few dreams are fulfilled in the last year,
A few are still pending.
A few will be fulfilled on the course of time.
A few others need my whole hearted hardwork.
A few might not be fulfilled in my life.
A few were fulfilled without my knowledge !!!
A few dreams are forgotten :-(
A few gives me happiness.
A few are a surprise.
A few dreams are gifted.
A few are on wrong time.
A few good sleep to see all these dreams ;-)
A few loneliness to enjoy these dreams.
A few long travel to plan the dream
A few self trust to make the dream no more.
A few dreams demand to do something
A few others not to do
A few dreams need your patience
A few others your sudden act.
A few dreams takes long time
A few others take short time
A few takes no time
A few dreams never happens.

Resmi's new year is also starting on the same day !
He is not... just one !!! he was there with me from my childhood though our friendship become stronger in 1996-97, while we were preparing for Kerala entrance. Almost everyday we meet either in my home or in his home. The known reason is combined study. that is true for most of the time. But we enjoyed a lot of movies (both in theater -best time for English Movies- and as Video cassette), chess, lot of fun. And when we came together for a cause, restructuring our CLC Parish Library, its a golden story of success.
We were there ,together, on same bunch in our sunday catechism, my name was followed by his name in th roll call (it is not maintained by alphabetical order but the joining date). we calls him 'White Devil', since he is so white compared to others, and of course his innocent 'devilish' thoughts.(sorry Ranjit, to remind your old nick name)
Finally, It was his marriage on last Sunday with Resmi from our college, (joined after we came out :-( working in same industry-civil/construction- and in same city-bangalore. that what he is looking for.
One Surprise happend on the wedding day. His chairman gifted him a red Maruti Alto !!!! Thats enough to prove that Ranjit value very much for his company. If somebody is gifting an Alto, it must be from his heart. someone must know the difference between gifting an Alto and expecting an Alto
It was YA marriage organizing experience for me. two more busy days in my life.
